Thailand’s Premier Energy and Electrical Exhibitions Unveiled

Fireworks Media (Thailand) is organising a grand event showcasing comprehensive energy and electrical technology, including the “Thailand Marine & Offshore Expo (TMOX) 2024,” “Oil & Gas Thailand (OGET) 2024,” and “Powerex & Electric Asia 2024.” These events will promote the growth of three industries in Thailand, pushing them towards international standards by bringing together global personnel and the latest world-class technology under one roof.
Mr Kenny Yong, Managing Director of Fireworks Media (Thailand) Co., Ltd., revealed that from 16 to 18 October 2024, the company will host parallel exhibitions for three industry sectors. First is the “Thailand Marine & Offshore Expo (TMOX) 2024,” the 8th edition of Thailand’s premier maritime and offshore industry trade fair. The second is “Oil & Gas Thailand (OGET) 2024,” the 13th edition of the trade fair showcasing the latest innovations, technology, and solutions for the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors. Finally, “Powerex & Electric Asia 2024,” in its 6th edition, is a trade fair dedicated to electrical production and related industries. The three parallel exhibitions will take place in a space covering over 8,000 square metres at the BITEC Exhibition and Convention Centre located in Bangna, Bangkok, Thailand.
“All three industries are interconnected, and Fireworks has decided to organise these exhibitions simultaneously to offer convenience for attendees, allowing them to explore the latest technological advancements across all three sectors in one place,” said Mr Yong. He added that the event is expected to attract over 8,000 participants, including entrepreneurs, investors, and industry professionals from leading global organisations. This gathering will foster opportunities for networking, exchanging views, addressing challenges, and creating new business partnerships that will drive future growth together.
Mr Kenny Yong further emphasised that this event represents a significant opportunity for entrepreneurs to penetrate the rapidly growing maritime market in Thailand and the emerging markets of Southeast Asia. The Thai Shipbuilding and Repairing Association, a key supporter of “TMOX 2024,” will host the “Thailand Maritime Forum 2024” under the theme “Shipbuilding Industry and National Security” and feature globally recognised experts such as Captain Pridsadang Kadkhuntod, President of the Thai Shipbuilding and Repairing Association (TSBA), speaking on the topic “Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Industry: An Economic Driving Force Not to Be Overlooked.” Mr Rabien Bahadoer, Regional Sales Director for Asia Pacific at Damen Shipyards Group, a leading global shipbuilding company, will also be speaking on the topic “Experience Sharing from Leading Shipyard in the World.”
Additionally, during “TMOX 2024,” the Thai Shipbuilding and Repairing Association will discuss “The Shipbuilding Industry and National Security,” featuring speakers such as Mr Wiroj Lakkhanadisorn, Chairperson of the House’s Standing Committee on Military Affairs; Assoc. Captain Pridsadang Kadkhuntod, President of TSBA, highlighted that “the shipbuilding industry plays a vital role in the economy, particularly in military-related sectors (naval and auxiliary ships). It generates jobs, enhances local skills, fosters domestic innovation, boosts income, and promotes self-reliance, reducing imports while driving economic development and national sustainability.”
Oil & Gas Thailand (OGET) 2024, the 13th edition, showcases the latest technologies, innovations, and solutions from global oil, gas, and petrochemical companies spanning the entire value chain. The event will focus on automation systems supporting Industry 4.0 as well as various supporting industries. The “ASEAN Oil & Gas Conference 2024” will also be held, featuring distinguished speakers such as Dr Kurujit Nakornthap, Executive Director of the Petroleum and Energy Institute of Thailand, discussing “The Revival of Gas Exploration and Production Development in Thailand Under the New Petroleum Act and Resolving the Overlapping Claims Area Dispute Between Thailand and Cambodia.” Also speaking is Asst. Prof. Dr Uthaiporn Suriyapraphadilok from the Petroleum and Petrochemical College, Chulalongkorn University, on “Decarbonisation in Oil and Gas Industries,” as well as Mr Zar Ni Swe discussing “Oil and Gas Activities and Opportunities in Myanmar.”
The 6th edition of “Powerex & Electric Asia 2024” showcases electrical production technologies and related industries. This event is the largest of its kind in Thailand and features technology, equipment, and expert discussions on electrical production and power transmission systems. One of the highlights of the event is the seminar on “Anti-Drone Systems and Maritime Security” by CAPT. Chutipas Changkwien, RTN, Deputy Managing Director (Technical) of Bangkok Dock (1957) Limited, and Mr Prathan Somboon, Engineering Manager of T-Net Co., Ltd.
